Double Q is pleased to announce that 'conceptual exercises' at the Francisco Carolinum Linz is the first comprehensive exhibition in Austria dedicated to Ewa Partum and places her pioneering feminist conceptual practice at its center.
Since the mid-1960s, Partum has combined conceptual strategies with an explicitly feminist stance, using language, public interventions, and her own naked body to challenge structures of visibility, authorship, and female representation within a male-dominated art context.
The exhibition in Linz brings together key works such as Eiffel Tower (1972), The Legality of Space (1971), Change (1974/1978), and Self-Identification (1980), all of which assert female autonomy in public and symbolic space and underline the radicality of her artistic position.
