The first details of Frieze Seoul 2026 have been announced, with the fifth edition of the fair in partnership with Kiaf SEOUL seeing new curated sections and other developments.
Spotlight, Frieze’s section dedicated to solo presentations of 20th-century artists, is introduced to Frieze Seoul for the first time in 2026, under the curation of Wonseok Koh, director of Line Cultural Foundation. Spotlight foreground overlooked figures and significant early works by established artists, reflecting growing interest among Korean and international audiences in art-historical narratives beyond dominant Western canons.
Presentations will include Djordje Ivačković (Double Q), Hoon Kwak (PNC Gallery), Etsuko Nakatsuji (Yoshiaki Inoue Gallery), Po Po (Ames Yavuz), Youngsoo Han (Baik), Nobuo Sekine (YOD Gallery), Reba Hore (Art Exposure), Karl Otto Götz (Die Galerie), Sookja Lee (Sun Gallery), Lain Singh Bangdel (Tansbao Gallery), Gyutae Hwang (Unaw Gallery) and Sang-Ki Son (Wellside Gallery).
